WICKER PARK —  Fans of Chance the Rapper were quick to pull off posters subtly advertising the Chicago-born rapper's new mixtape from an under construction storefront in Wicker Park on Friday.

The posters for the new mixtape, "Coloring Book," until recently called "Chance 3," have popped up all over the city, with the numeral replacing the Sox logo on the rapper's iconic cap

"It was cute to see the kids ripping the posters off," said Nancy Becker, owner of Una Mae's, a boutique next to the former Reckless Records and Rodan building at 1530-32 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Not everyone was happy.

"Anyone putting posters or graffiti on the front of the building is doing it without authorization," said local developer Steve Lipe, who is trying to find a tenant for the two-story building.

When asked if the rapper's likeness being plastered over the front of the building could have anything to do with rumors swirling over Adidas taking over the building, Lipe said no.

"We do not have a lease for any part of the building," Lipe said.

Empty since Rodan Lounge closed in September, and Reckless Records relocated up the street last spring, the vintage building along a busy block has been undergoing a remodeling, building permits show.

"Coloring Book" is Chance the Rapper's third solo mixtape and first since 2013.

The lead song on the album is called "All We Got," featuring Kanye West and the Chicago Children's Choir.

The posters, available in packs of 10, cost $20 on the rappers' website.
