DOWNTOWN — Here's where to eat, drink, and play this summer on the Downtown riverfront.

Popular hangouts from last year's Riverwalk including City Winery are returning for a second season, while another: indie music venue the Hideout, isn't.

The city on Saturday released its list of 15 vendors hitting the Riverwalk this summer, including new arrivals Tiny Hatt, Lilllie's Park Grill and Dulce in Horto, the latter of which is the Riverwalk's first food cart that will specialize in sweet treats including cupcakes, cookies and brownies.

Open through Nov. 1, the Riverwalk on the south riverfront stretches from roughly Lake Shore Drive to LaSalle St.

A partnership between Big Hatt Gourmet and North Center bar Tiny Lounge, Tiny Hatt at roughly Dearborn and Wacker will offer barrel-aged cocktails and barbeque, as well as live music from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday. Lillie's, a Riverwalk outpost of a South Side hot dog stand, will serve grab-and-go fare while Dulce in Horto will sell desserts out of a roaming cart.

Other vendors include tiki bar Island Party Hut, and Riverwalk mainstays Cyrano’s Café and Wine Bar, O’Brien’s Riverwalk Café, Urban Kayaks and Wheel Fun Rentals.

Riverwalk vendors generated more than $4.5 million in gross revenue last year, nearly four times the amount Riverwalk vendors made the year before the new-and-improved Riverwalk debuted, according to the city.

A city spokeswoman confirmed that no new restaurant has replaced the big empty Riverwalk gallery once occupied by the Hideout, a Bucktown bar that hosted live music on the river last summer. Hideout owner Tim Tuten did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
