CHICAGO — Two people ages 17 and 35 were wounded in a Woodlawn shooting Thursday night, according to police.

The two were outside in the 6300 block of South Rhodes Avenue at 9:47 p.m. when a group walked up and opened fire before fleeing, said Officer Laura Amezaga, Chicago Police spokesman.

The 17-year-old was shot in his ankle and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not released but police said he was "stable." The 35-year-old was shot in his left and foot and was also taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Police said the 35-year-old is a documented gang member.
