Woodlawn Shooting Injures 39-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO —  A Woodlawn shooting left a 39-year-old man injured early Saturday, police said.

At 3:30 a.m., the man was walking in the 6100 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue when someone walked up and fired shots at him, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his stomach and was taken to Stroger Hospital. His condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Sedevic said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
