UPTOWN — Whether you're looking for some quality time with the kids or a night of entertainment in the neighborhood, there's something for everyone to do in the area this weekend.

Here is a list of 7 things happening in the neighborhood this weekend:

Live Band Burlesque at Uptown Underground: The Friday night entertainment features the Kiss Kiss Cabaret and friends along with a special 9 p.m. live band burlesque show with the "Brooklyn Britches and The Whispers." General admission tickets are $25 and premium reserved tickets are $40. 9 p.m. 4713 N. Broadway.

Check Out a Local Artist's Exhibition at Everybody's Coffee: Uptown photographer Candace Casey opens her exhibit "Ethereal Abandonment," which explores her three decades of photographing ruins, at Everybody's Coffee. To learn more about Casey's journey across the world and back to Uptown click here. 935 W. Wilson Ave.

The Kids and Kites Festival: Spend Saturday Night flying kites in the park as part of the 18th annual Chicago Kids and Kites Festival. For more information on the festival click here. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lake Shore Drive and Montrose Avenue.

Take a Neighborhood Walking Tour: The Still Water Runs Deep: Uptown's Hidden Coastline tour explores Clarendon Avenue from the Disney Magnet School at 4131 N. Clarendon Ave. to Weiss Hospital's urban rooftop farm at the intersection of Leland and Clarendon Avenues. The walk is lead by Melanie Eckner and participants will be wearing orange Jane's Walk t-shirts. The tour begins at 11 a.m. at 4131 N. Clarendon Ave. Free.

Celebrate Milk Handmade Turning 4: To celebrate the women's clothing boutique's anniversary, it will host a tasting featuring Koval Distillery whiskeys and a trunk show with local designers — Anna Hovet and Alicia Mohr. For more information click here. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. 5137 N. Clark St.

Check Out A New Brunch Spot: Kanela Breakfast Club opened Thursday in the former Summerdale space in Andersonville. The new Andersonville brunch spot will be offering a free order of Loukamades for mothers on Sunday. 5413 N. Clark St.

Enjoy Some Magic At Uptown Underground: Uptown Underground's Magic Lounge is a step back-in-time to Chicago's old-school magic bars featuring up-close illusions, bar magic, table hopping magicians and main stage acts. General admission tickets are $25, deluxe tickets are $30 and premium reserved tickets are $40. 4713 N. Broadway. 7:30 p.m.
