OLD IRVING PARK — The maker movement is a pretty big tent, encompassing both the analog and digital worlds in pursuit of do-it-yourself activities.

The full range of what it means to be a maker — from ice cream making to drone racing — will be on display Saturday during the fifth annual Mini Maker Faire from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Schurz High School, 3601 N. Milwaukee Ave.

New this year is a speakers' program, featuring a presentation by Charles Adler, the co-founder of Kickstarter, who will talk about his newest venture, the Lost Arts creative workshop and studio, from 1-1:30 p.m.

Admission is free but a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under will be accepted at the door and online.
