HYDE PARK — Jon Stewart, the former host of “The Daily Show,” will be on the University of Chicago campus Monday to record a podcast.

Stewart is scheduled to be the guest for a live taping of David Axelrod’s “The Axe Files” podcast at noon Monday at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave.

The podcast is a weekly forum where Axelrod, former chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns and an advisor to the president, talks about politics and cultural issues with guests.

Axelrod has interviewed everyone from Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls to former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and director Spike Lee, and the conversations are usually not open to the public.

Monday’s event will be in front of an audience, but tickets are already sold out. To get on the waiting list, visit the event website.
