CHICAGO — A woman was shot dead and four other people were wounded in shootings since Sunday morning, according to police.

The lone fatal shooting came at 12:55 a.m. Monday, when a 21-year-old woman was shot in Edgewater while driving with a documented gang member, police said.

• The most recent, non-fatal shooting happened at 9:40 p.m. in West Pullman, where a 65-year-old man was shot, police said.

• A 36-year-old man was shot in Austin Sunday night, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was in a parked car in the 100 block of North Long Avenue at 7:05 p.m. Sunday when three people walked up and one opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his chest and left shoulder and managed to get himself to Loretto Hospital before being transferred to Stroger Hospital.

Police said the man was "stable" though his condition was not released.

•A 27-year-old woman was shot in East Garfield Park Sunday evening, Pacheco said.

The woman was in the 3400 block of West Walnut Street at 5:26 p.m. when shots rang out, Pacheco said. She was struck in her arm and brought herself to University of Illinois Hospital where she was listed in good condition.

• An 18-year-old man was seriously wounded in a West Garfield Park shooting at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, the day's first shooting.
