Check Out This Magical Food Fight Video Spot For Kimski At Maria's

By Ed Komenda | May 2, 2016 4:34pm

BRIDGEPORT — Get ready, folks: Kimski is opening soon.

The crew behind the neighborhood's much-anticipated Korean-Polish street food counter at Maria's Community Bar is in the final stages of preparation. As a lead-up to Kimski's opening, Community of the Future has published a hilarious video spot produced by friends at Daily Planet Productions.

The message is loud and clear: "Great things happen from slamming Korean and Polish together."

Mike Marszewski, who runs the bar while brother Ed focuses his efforts on expanding Marz Community Brewing, picked up business licenses last week.

Running the kitchen, Won Kim, a 36-year-old chef and painter known as the host of "Sleeping is for Suckers," will prepare artful, Asian-inspired street food in the same vein as Maria's popular Korean Polish BBQ series that highlights culinary curiosities like spicy, snappy grilled Polish sausage topped with kimchi.

"We are getting closer and closer you guys!" Kim wrote in a recent Instagram post. "Hope you're ready to stuff your faces!"
