WICKER PARK —  It might be kind of chilly this weekend but there are still plenty of reasons to get out and explore Wicker Park, Bucktown and West Town.

Here are seven weekend events.

Indulge in a Rooftop Lamb Roast. Taxim's annual five-course lamb dinner heads to a rooftop in celebration of Greek Easter. In the spirit of Greek filotimo, the restaurant at 1558 N. Milwaukee Ave. will donate all proceeds from its Lenten dishes to "poor Greek families that in spite of their desperate situation, have shared the little they have with the thousands of refugees in their midst," chef David Schneider said. Doors open at 4 p.m. Sunday; seats are $80. Reservations required at 773-252-1558.

Score Free Poop Bags and Dog Treats. Kriser's celebrates its first decade with parties at each of its 14 Chicago stores, including Bucktown/Wicker Park. A 20-percent off coupon is available online and the first 100 folks in each store will get free poop bags, dog treats and more, according to the shop. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 1658 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Don't have a dog or cat? Pop by the PAWS Adopt-A-Thon from 11 a.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Saturday, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave., where volunteers aim to help 125 homeless pets find forever homes.

Brunch on Sunday at Forbidden Root. French toast with peanut butter mousse, kimchi pancakes and malted hanger steak are just a few items on the Forbidden Root brunch menu, which starts this Sunday. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. No reservations accepted, 1746 W. Chicago Ave.

Explore "The Human Mask." A new art show at Deadly Prey Gallery features works by several fine artists who explore the "veil of pretense, protection and persona" while navigating the "concept of camouflage and the dichotomy of internal and external through paintings and drawing," curator Heidi Chankin says. Take a sneak peek. Free, from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 1433 W. Chicago Ave.

Party with Bookworms. As part of Independent Bookstore Day, Volumes Bookcafe offers story time and a sketch artist who will turn patrons into comic book superheroes and more activities, according to the lineup. At 5 p.m., Onion co-founder Scott Dikkers will sign copies of "Trump's America, The Complete Loser's Guide." As an added bonus, show a Volumes receipt at neighboring shops Mojo Spa, Jeni's Ice Cream, Pint and Umami Burger for discounts. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 1474 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Grab Elotes at Tamale Spaceship, Then Snap a Selfie with a Gnome. There are 84 bright orange gnomes planted all over Wicker Park and Bucktown through May 8. Several gnomes are in the neighborhood's namesake park, at 1425 N. Damen Ave., about a block north of Tamale Spaceship's restaurant, which recently added elotes, according to an Instagram post. Tamale Spaceship, 1341 N. Damen Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
