LINCOLN SQUARE — This story has Rom-Com potential written all over it: Boy meets wallet, boy loses wallet, boy gets wallet back — 20 years later — and they live happily ever after.
All that's missing is the fairytale ending.
The plot starts with the ongoing $5 million restoration and renovation of the Davis Theater, when the construction team removed the rearmost row of seats in one of the front auditoriums.
The seats, which butted up against a wall, had been impossible to clean behind, creating a black hole where coins, cellphones and apparently one wallet vanished without a trace. Until now.

"It still has a Blockbuster card, that tells you how old this is," said Davis owner Tom Fencl, brandishing the recovered billfold.
The wallet, in pristine condition, also contains a car key, voter ID card and several credit cards, prompting Fencl to joke: "Good thing I'm not an identity thief."
Most importantly, a driver's license, issued in 1996, reveals the owner's identity ... Benjamin Vaughn.
Hey, Benjamin, if you want your Blockbuster card back, Fencl would be happy to arrange a reunion. Shoot us an email at pwetli@dnainfo.com and we'll play matchmaker.
