LAKEVIEW — Trash cans were set on fire in six Lakeview alleyways early Monday morning, according to a police alert issued Thursday.

Between 4:28 a.m. and 5:28 a.m., police said, someone "ignited" garbage inside the cans, sometimes spreading the fire to nearby garages, in the following blocks:

• The 2800 block of North Cambridge Avenue

• The 1100 block of West Oakdale Avenue

• The 2900 block of North Seminary Avenue

• The 700 block of West Oakdale Avenue

• The 1100 block of West Wolfram Street

• The 2700 block of North Racine Avenue

Anyone with information on the fires is encouraged to call the Arson Section of the Bureau of Detectives at 312-746-7618.
