CHICAGO — Shootings around the city left two men dead and five other people wounded between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

A man was killed and two others were wounded in two shootings 20 minutes apart from each other in Englewood Tuesday afternoon, police said.

A man was found shot to death in Washington Heights early Tuesday morning, police said.

A shooting on the Near West Side Tuesday night left a man with a gunshot wound in his ankle, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

• Around 9:30 p.m., Estrada said, a 33-year-old man walked into Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in his right leg.

The man said he'd been walking in the 2400 block of West 34th Street in Brighton Park when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

Police could not provide the man's condition but said he was "stable."

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• About an hour earlier, police said, a 23-year-old man was standing in the 4700 block of West Huron Street when someone walked up and shot at him.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his knee.
