LINCOLN PARK — Atlas Brewing Company will soon have a new name and menu, its owners announced Monday.

The brewery at 2747 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Park is rebranding as Burnt City Brewing, beginning in May.

To go along with the new name, the brewery will debut a new menu with flagship and seasonal brews, limited-edition brews and "elevated" pub fare, according to the owners.

“We took a conservative approach with Atlas — but then we burned it all down, and that really became our tagline and our creative direction for having more fun with brewing,” said John Saller, head brewer and founder of Burnt City Brewery, in a prepared statement.

“I’m looking forward to bringing that new attitude to everything we do.”

The brewery will stay open throughout the rebranding process.

Saller and his brother, Ben, opened Atlas in 2012. The pair named it after an old Chicago brewery popular during the pre-Prohibition era.

The brothers opened a production facility in Pullman at 825 E. 99th St. in May 2015. The facility will remain open throughout the rebranding process.

Burnt City Brewing will be open Monday - Thursday from 5-11 p.m., Friday 5 p.m.-2 a.m., Saturday 12 p.m.-2 a.m. and Sunday 12-11 p.m.

The brewery's distribution area includes the Chicago area, Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana and Alabama.
