KENWOOD — Police are looking for two people who shot at a car in front of Kenwood Academy Wednesday night.

A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were parking their Oldsmobile at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of Blackstone Avenue when two people in a red minivan shot at them, according to the Chicago Police Department.

No one was injured, and the couple who were shot at chased the red minivan north up Blackstone Avenue, but the chase ended when they hit a 29-year-old man who was getting out of his car at 49th Street and Blackstone, according to police.

The crash broke the man's knee and caused cuts to his head. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and police said his condition was "stable."

Police said no one had been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The Wednesday night shooting is the second in the last 1½ weeks in which a gunman shot at people sitting in their car in the neighborhood.

On April 11, a gunman shot at a man sitting in his car at 52nd Street and Lake Park Avenue.
