
HYDE PARK — Uber board member David Plouffe will be at the University of Chicago Tuesday to talk about how work-on-demand could help Chicago.
Plouffe, also a strategic adviser to Uber and a former adviser to President Barack Obama, will be on campus at 4:30 p.m. for a reception followed by a 5 p.m. lecture in Room 104 of the Harper Center, 5807 S. Woodlawn Ave.
Plouffe will talk about how the flexible hours that Uber offers is changing employment in an economy where wages are stagnating.
He is also on the board of the Obama Foundation, which is working with the University of Chicago to develop the president’s library in either Jackson or Washington parks.
