6 Things To Do In Uptown And Andersonville This Weekend

UPTOWN AND ANDERSONVILLE — The neighborhoods will be popping with springtime fun this weekend and why not with the weather expected to be near the 80s.

Here's a list of six things happening in the 'hoods to get you off the couch and enjoying those warm vibes:

El Komander at the Aragon Ballroom: El Komander and Voz De Mando will perform April 16 Saturday at the Aragon. Tickets for the show are $58 and available here. 1106 W. Lawrence Ave. 7 p.m.

Father John Misty at the Riviera Theatre: Father John Misty will perform with Tess and Dave at the Riviera Theatre Friday. Tickets for the 18-and-older show are $35 and available here. All tickets are general admission. 8 p.m. 4746 N. Racine Ave.

Take a Tour of a Cemetery: Saturday, author and historian Adam Selzer will lead a tour through the gorgeous landscape of Graceland Cemetery while telling the tales behind the tombstones, like the man buried the morning of the Great Chicago Fire and the origins of the "Eternal Silence" statue for Obscura Day. Here's a list of notable people buried at the cemetery to look out for. 10 a.m.-noon. Saturday. 4001 N. Clark St. Tickets are $21 and available here.

Springtime Along Clark: Andersonville's Clark Street will welcome spring with its second annual flower show. Home and design shops around the neighborhood will display vintage floral furniture and decor outside their stores and in their window, seeking to unite the neighborhood businesses as they journey to make it a home interior shopping hub. Discounts will be available at participating stores including: Andersonville Antiques, Brownstone, Good Deal Garage, Mercantile M, Murray and White, Room Service, Scout and Ya Ya's Antiques. 5200 N. Clark St.

Vintage Season: Enjoy three floors and ramps full of vendors selling everything vintage. Vintage Garage Chicago is kicking off its fifth season with its biggest show ever. Sunday. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 5051 N. Broadway. $5 admission.

Watch the Blackhawks: The Blackhawks will take on the St. Louis Blues Friday and Sunday. There's tons of spots to watch the games in the neighborhood like Crew, 4804 N. Broadway, which offers its own unique experience as one of the city's only LGBT-affiliated sports bars.
