OAKLAND — The Mamby on the Beach festival is returning to the lakefront off Oakland with a bigger lineup, but it seems that not all the acts, including Lupe Fiasco, knew they were playing.
The festival announced its lineup of 30 bands for the July 2-3 weekend and is adding an additional stage at Oakwood Beach, 4100 S. Lake Shore Drive.
Topping the bill for the fest are Chet Faker, Milky Chance and Atmosphere, but Lupe Fiasco quickly took to Twitter to say he wasn't aware he was scheduled to play the festival.
When you didn't know you was booked for a show again so you start looking for a new assistant. https://t.co/FLiRNS90Wc

Based on the tweet, it's not clear whether Lupe Fiasco will stay on the bill, but Mamby on the Beach's own Twitter tried to quickly play it off as a joke.

Lupe Fiasco responded on Twitter that he's going to perform 15 minutes of Michael Bolton covers and storm offstage.
Tru. And that's why I'll be doing Micheal Bolton cover that whole 15 minutes before I storm off stage. https://t.co/SuRNEH18t9
