IRVING PARK — A man was shot in his arm while walking near Kilbourn Park on the Northwest Side early Tuesday morning, police said.

A few minutes after midnight, the man was walking in the 4500 block of West Belmont Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital with a gunshot wound in his arm, Pacheco said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, Pacheco said.
