'Dirty Dancing,' 'Grease' To Be Shown In River North Park This Summer

RIVER NORTH — This summer's movies in a River North park include "Minions" and "Grease."

The 11th season of movies in Montgomery Ward Park, 630 N. Kingsbury St., kicks off June 28 with "Dirty Dancing." 

Here's the full lineup:

• June 28: "Dirty Dancing" (1987, PG-13)

• July 12: "The Intern" (2015, PG-13)

• July 26: "Grease" (1978, PG-13)

• Aug. 2: "Bridge of Spies" (2015, PG-13)

• Aug. 25: "Minions" (2015, PG)

All screenings start at dusk, weather permitting. The series is presented by the River North Residents Association. No dogs or alcohol are allowed at the south end of the park. 

The park movies are part of the Chicago Park District's annual "Movies in the Parks" series. A park district spokeswoman said this year's citywide schedule has yet to be finalized.
