DOWNTOWN — The votes are in, and "The Dark Knight" is the grand finale to this summer's movies in Millennium Park.
The park's free summer film series will close 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with the 2008 Batman film depicting Chicago as wanton Gotham.
The film beat out 19 other Chicago-made pictures in a first-ever vote among movie-goers who visited the park this summer. "The Dark Knight" was filmed here for three months during summer 2007 and later won two Oscars: one to the late Heath Ledger for best supporting actor and another for sound editing.
