DOWNTOWN — Full service was restored to the Pink Line Sunday morning, five days after it was partially shut down, CTA officials said.

On Tuesday, officials had announced that inbound trains were being routed to the Blue Line at Racine due to "signal issues."

CTA spokesman Stephen Mayberry elaborated Sunday that a "small fire damaged equipment" Monday evening at the spot where Pink and Green Line trains converge in the West Loop.

Full service was restored all along the Pink Line around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Mayberry said.
