IRVING PARK — Drinkers With Writing Problems is debuting its monthly live show, "Lit Up," Friday night.

Elizabeth Gomez — comedian, storyteller and founder of Windy City Rollers roller derby league — will host the first event at 8 p.m. at Brisku's Bistro, 4100 N. Kedzie Ave. Admission is a $10 suggested donation.

Other performers set to appear: Alicia Swiz, founder of SlutTalk; Conor Cawley, producer of Rat Pack Comedy; Bea Cordelia, slam poet and playwright; Nestor Gomez, eight-time Chicago Moth Slam winner; Anita Mechler, librarian, archivist and storyteller; Jac Jemc, novelist and editor; and Jeff Phillips, co-founder of the literary journal Zizobatchi Papers.

Drinkers With Writing Problems formed in 2012 and mostly meets at neighborhood bars.

Future Lit Up shows are scheduled for April 29 and May 27.
