HYDE PARK — The South Side is full of stories and the DuSable Museum of African American History is hosting a free series of workshops on preserving family history.

The museum, 740 E. 56th Place, is hosting “Preserving the Riches of One’s Legacy” from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday and every fourth Saturday of the month.

The series includes workshops on maintaining records, how to start a collection and how to preserving photos, videos, art and other records.

The workshops are free with museum admission. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.
