By Kelly Bauer | March 10, 2016 8:29am

CHICAGO — A 17-year-old was shot multiple times Wednesday night in a Chatham alley, police said.

At 9:50 p.m., the teen was in an alley in the 7900 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when several men walked up to him and opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The teen was shot in the back and right arm but took himself to Trinity Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. He was going to be transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

The shooting might be gang-related, police said.

No one was in custody.
