LINCOLN PARK — Adorable Chilean flamingo chicks are now on exhibit at Lincoln Park Zoo.

The zoo's first-ever flamingo chicks were born in September.

For months, all five chicks were attached to their caregivers and now they're finally on exhibit intermittently at Waterfowl Lagoon daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. as they acclimate to the world around them.

Chilean flamingos are found in Peru, Brazil and Argentina. They're born with white and grey plumage and develop pink plumage at around two years old, and can reach up to 40 inches in height.

Since they can tolerate extreme weather, the flamingos feel at home in Chicago, the zoo said.
