HYDE PARK — Filmmaker Tom Palazzolo will show some of the wildest films of his work in Chicago at the Logan Center for the Arts on Friday.

Palazzolo was a member of Monster Roster artists, arguably the first art movement to come out of Chicago and which is currently getting a retrospective exhibit at the Smart Museum of Art.

Palazzolo will show his films chronicling the bizarre characters that populated Clark Street in the ‘60s, his visit to a Miss Nude Universe contest, the Freak Show at Riverview Amusement Park and other scenes of Chicago now long gone.

The screening of five of Palazzolo’s short films will start at 7 p.m. at the Logan Center, 915 E. 60th St., and is free and open to the public.
