Police Officer Collapses at Police HQ Saturday, Saved by Fellow Officers

CHICAGO — A group of police officers saved another officer's life after he collapsed at headquarters, according to a Chicago Police news release.

At 9:55 p.m. Saturday, a 55-year-old officer collapsed and lost consciousness at Police Headquarters, 3510 S. Michigan Ave. An officer performed CPR on the 55-year-old while others used a defibrillator on the officer, who regained consciousness.

The officer, a 29-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, was taken to a hospital and was in "stable" condition, according to police.
