CHICAGO — A man died and three others were hurt in shootings between Thursday morning and Friday morning, police said.

A 22-year-old man died after walking up to police and telling them he'd been shot in Belmont Cragin early Friday morning, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

• At 4:25 a.m. Friday, a 32-year-old man was shot while walking on the sidewalk in the 3500 block of West Grenshaw Street in North Lawndale, Pacheco said.

Friends drove the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for a gunshot wound in his shoulder, Pacheco said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Pacheco said, a 56-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Troy Avenue in North Lawndale when someone shot him in both his legs.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Pacheco said, where his condition stabilized.

• At 4:40 a.m. Friday, a 65-year-old man walked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital after accidentally shooting himself in his left knee, Pacheco said.

The man had been walking in the 4500 block of North Winchester Avenue in Ravenswood when he slipped and fell, Pacheco said, and the gun went off.
