NORTH CENTER — St. Patrick's Day is such a big deal at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro, the party lasts for more than two weeks.

The 17 Days of St. Patrick kicks off Tuesday and the celebration of Irish beer, whiskey, food and song runs through the 17th.

Swing by 3905 N. Lincoln Ave. for daily live music sessions; samplings of beer, cheese and candy; a whiskey dinner; and a "pour your own pint of Guinness" contest, among other special events.

The biggest bashes are set for March 12 — downtown parade day — and St. Patrick's Day proper. Click here for the complete schedule.
