CHICAGO — A 39-year-old man was shot to death early Wednesday in North Lawndale, police said.
At 7:35 a.m., the man's body was discovered in an alley in the 1500 block of South Lawndale, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Shawndale Neal, who lived in the same block he was shot. Neal was pronounced dead at 7:52 a.m.
No one was in custody.
