2 Men Found Dead In Bronzeville Apartment Sunday Identified

BRONZEVILLE— Two men were found dead in a Bronzeville apartment Sunday morning, police said.

At 10:15 a.m., police responded to an apartment building in the 5000 block of South Champlain Avenue when they found two men, 25 and 26, dead, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Police could provide no further information at the time.

Jeremy D. Hunter, 25, who lived on the same block, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He died due to a gunshot wound to his head.

The county identified the other man as Steve Allen Tate, 26, of the 6500 block of South Drexel Avenue in Woodlawn, who was also pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50 p.m. Tate was shot multiple times.

No one is custody, Estrada said.
