These Puppy, Cat Couples Are Looking for Love on Valentine's Day (PHOTOS)

By Kelly Bauer | February 11, 2016 5:56am

CHICAGO — Puppies and cats are among those looking for love this Valentine's Day.

PAWS Chicago, a no-kill animal shelter, is offering a discount on adoption fees for people who adopt "bonded" pets over Valentine's Day weekend. That includes inseparable sisters like dogs Onitza, Pomex and Prisma. Onitza and Prisma are blind, and Pomex guides and comforts them.

Also available are cats Tollhouse and DeForest Kelly, who are best bros who refuse to be parted, and a bevy of other felines who don't want to be parted from (as PAWS calls them) their "true love."

It normally costs $25-$100 to adopt cats and kittens and $275-$350 to adopt dogs and puppies, but those fees will be halved if you're buying bonded animals Saturday and Sunday at the Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. The center will be open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. over the weekend.

Those who adopt bonded dogs will also get a free can of Merrick's Sweetheart Stew.

Check out the cute couples who are up for adoption:
