ALBANY PARK— A man was shot while sitting in a car in Albany Park on Sunday, police said.

At 11:40 p.m., a 27-year old man was in a parked car in the 3000 block of West Eastwood Avenue when two people got out of a black SUV and shot at him, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man, who was shot in the head and shoulder, was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he is listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

No one is in custody, Pacheco said.
