Bronzeville Shooting Critically Injures Man, 23, Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was critically injured in a Bronzeville shooting Friday night, according to police.

The man was walking in the 0-100 block of West 31st Street at 8:30 p.m. when someone opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. No other information on the shooting was available.

He was struck in the face and was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, Sedevic said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Sedevic said.
