Around 8:45 p.m. on Jan. 17, a group of young men followed a woman onto the CTA in the 400 block of East 43rd Street then punched her in her face and tried to grab her cell phone, police said.

In the second incident, around 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 29, the robbers pointed black handguns at their victim after getting out of a red two-door Pontiac Grand Prix in the 300 block of East 43rd Street.

Police describe the robbers as a group of three or four youths between the ages of 16 and 20.

Anyone with information on the incidents or the robbers is encouraged to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
