ROGERS PARK — For the second time this week, Chicago Police issued a community alert Thursday after at least two more Rogers Park businesses were broken into.
The incidents occurred sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday, both in the 7100 block of North Clark Street.
One was broken into between 9:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m., and the other between 6 p.m.-11 a.m., according to police. Police earlier said the latter incident occurred in the 7600 block of North Clark Street, which is technically Chicago Avenue Evanston.
In one of those burglaries, police said the back door to the business was pried open. In the other, police said security cameras saw a man kick in an interior door, then cut through drywall to access the first floor of the building.
His actions in that case were caught on tape, and police said he can be seen taking a laptop, guitar, tools, money, watches and a ring.
The man in the video is described as an African-American man between ages 24-45 wearing a black do-rag, white visor, a hoodie-type jacket and light-colored pants, police said. He is between 6-foot and 6-feet-3 and weighing 215-230 pounds.
Earlier this week, police sent out another warning to businesses owners in Rogers Park and Edgewater after similar business burglaries.
