Englewood Shooting Kills 19-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was found shot to death in Englewood on Monday morning, police said.

At 11:24 a.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 7200 block of South May Street and found a man there, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man, who was 19 years old, had been shot multiple times and was dead at the scene.

The man was identified as Davon Horace, of the 6700 block of South Throop Street, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Horace was pronounced dead at 12:13 p.m. at Stroger Hospital.

Police said the shooters, two men, ran away westbound through an alley, Pacheco said. One was wearing a blue hoodie and the other was in a dark hoodie. No one is in custody, Pacheco said.

The victim was a documented gang member, police said.

Just two hours earlier, two men were shot, killing one of them and seriously wounding the other in Englewood.
