NORTH CENTER — No charges will be filed in a triple shooting at a Belle Plaine apartment building that left one man dead, police said.

The victim was later identified as Pablo Ulloa, 25, of the 4700 block of North Whipple Street.

According to police, Ulloa, who died at the scene, was determined to be the offender in the incident and the other parties involved were acting in self defense.

The shooting occurred Jan. 8 at 1950 W. Belle Plaine Ave., the result of a drug deal gone bad during a party hosted by tenants in the building, according to Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th).

Pawar said the tenants were since given notice and voluntarily vacated the residence.

Attempts by DNAinfo.com to reach the building's management and owners have not been successful.
