CHICAGO — One man was killed and three others wounded in shootings on Monday, police said.
A 20-year-old man was found shot in Rogers Park late Monday. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 8:30 p.m., a 34-year-old man was shot after a fight on a bus in Greater Grand Crossing, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was on the bus when a group of people began arguing with him. One of them hit the man in the face, and the man chased them off the bus in the 400 block of East 75th Street. While outside, someone shot him in his leg.
The man returned to the bus and was later taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.
• At 12:55 p.m., two men were shot in Marquette Park, Sedevic said. A 25-year-old man was in the 2400 block of West Marquette Road when he was shot in his leg. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and was in good condition.
A 35-year-old man was shot in his right hand and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was in good condition, Sedevic said.
Further details were not immediately available.
• At 12:15 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, Sedevic said. The man was in his car in the 1500 block of South Karlov Avenue when he was shot in his hand. He took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital and was in good condition.
The man has been uncooperative with investigators, police said, and the incident is possibly drug-related.
No one is in custody in these shootings.
