Mount Greenwood 7-Eleven Store Robbed, Police Say

MOUNT GREENWOOD — A 7-Eleven Store in Mount Greenwood was robbed around 12:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The robber entered the store at 10301 S. Sawyer Ave. and demanded money from the clerk, who complied. No weapon was displayed or implied, police said.

The robber then fled, heading west on 103rd Street with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported, according to police.

The robber is described as a white man between 50-60 years old. He is roughly 200-225 pounds and between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was wearing a black, hooded jacket and black jeans, police said.

No one was in custody for the crime.
