LINCOLN SQUARE — In the wake of a drive-by shooting in Lincoln Square, in which shots were fired on Lawrence Avenue in broad daylight, the January CAPS meeting has been moved to a larger venue to accommodate what's likely to be a sizable turnout.

The meeting for Beat 2032, normally held at Ravenswood Evangelical Church, will now take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at Amundsen High School, 5110 N. Damen Ave., according to a notice from Ald. Pat O'Connor (40th).

Neighbors overflowed a similar meeting at the church last year after a fatal shooting in the area.

Beat 2032 is bounded by Clark Street to the east, Leavitt Avenue to the west and Foster and Lawrence avenues to the north and south.

Shots in the incident were first fired in the 2200 block of West Lawrence Avenue, in Beat 2032. A car chase ensued, ending at Bell and Argyle, which is in Beat 2031.

The boundaries for Beat 2031 are Leavitt Street, the Chicago River, and Lawrence and Foster avenues.
