LINCOLN PARK — Restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You is gearing up to open a new sushi spot within a luxury apartment building across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo later this month.

Naoki Sushi is set to open Jan. 20 within The Belden-Stratford, 2300 N. Lincoln Park West, it was announced Wednesday. The building is also occupied by Intro, the restaurant group's ever-evolving eatery that rotates chefs and types of cuisine.

The new restaurant will be located in the former private dining room of L2O, a Michelin-starred seafood restaurant that closed at the end of last year.

Naoki Nakashima, Lettuce Entertain You's longtime sushi chef, will be at the helm of the kitchen. Nakashima's menu will feature traditional nigiri and sashimi, sushi and Japanese main plates. To drink, there will be "sushi-friendly cocktails," beers, wines and sakes to choose from, according to the release.

The restaurant, which can seat 50 guests, will be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday evenings. Carry-out and delivery service will be offered in the coming weeks.

Folks can make reservations by visiting OpenTable or by calling 773-868-0002, but the restaurant encourages walk-ins.
