UPTOWN — After two dominant rounds in the Curbed Cup, Uptown was defeated by Pullman by a huge margin (450 votes) in the final four of the competition.

The Curbed Cup squares off 16 neighborhoods in a single-elimination-style tournament to be crowned "Neighborhood of the Year." Winners are determined weekly by voting online at the real estate blog.

Uptown received 858 votes compared to the Far South Side neighborhood's 1,322 votes, according to the real estate and development blog Curbed Chicago.

"Uptown has always had a strong game when it comes to Curbed Cup voting. The neighborhood won the first two Cups and made a strong showing last year making it to the third round of voting," the website reported when voting opened. "However, the Pullman District isn't going to just roll over. Pullman has defeated the West Loop and last year's second place Bridgeport neighborhood."

Pullman will square off with The Loop in the final round of the competition.

Last week, Uptown defeated East Village, earning 575 votes to East Village's 353. In the first round, Uptown defeated Lincoln Park receiving 523 votes of the 811 votes cast. Lincoln Park received 288 votes, according to the results posted on the real estate and development blog.
