ENGLEWOOD — Englewood residents can learn about hiring opportunities and sample free Whole Foods Market food on Jan. 6.

The new Englewood Whole Foods Market doesn't open until August, but the community can meet in the Great Hall at Kennedy King College, 740 W. 63rd St., to receive updates on the store's progress.

From 6-8 p.m. attendees can learn how natural and organic foods can help them meet their health goals. There will be free food samples and healthy food options from local suppliers.

People also can learn more about the local products from the Englewood community that will be sold in the new store. Information on job opportunities will be provided, along with a chance to win a Whole Foods Market healthy pantry makeover.
