HYDE PARK — Just before dinnertime on Christmas Eve, two men with a gun forced a person to walk with them on 53rd Street to an ATM and withdraw $200, according to University of Chicago police.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 24, two 18-year-old black men approached someone on the corner of 53rd Street and Blackstone Avenue, showed a handgun and forced that person to walk with them to an ATM and withdraw $200, according to police.

The two men then struck the person with the gun and ran north on Blackstone Avenue, according to police.

The victim declined medical attention, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery, according to the Chicago Police Department.

University police are advising anyone involved in a robbery to not resist unless absolutely necessary.
