Brighten Up With a Day of Painting at Smart Museum Family Day

HYDE PARK — The Smart Museum of Art will try to brighten up the winter with a day of painting unnaturally colored landscapes on Jan. 9.

The museum at 5550 S. Greenwood Ave. will hold a family day of painting starting at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9.

The event for kids aged 4-12 will include painting unnaturally colored landscapes inspired by the exhibit “Expressionist Impulses.”

The event is free and all materials are provided but children must be accompanied by an adult.
