LINCOLN PARK — ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo will go on as planned despite a Monday afternoon power outage, according to the zoo.

A power outage Monday afternoon affected "much of ZooLights," an event centered around the signature lights, according to Jillian Braun, a spokeswoman for the zoo. But as of 4:10 p.m., "everything was working," she said.

Additionally, Park Place Cafe is reopening by 4:45 p.m. after the zoo originally announced it would close due to the outage. The kids eat free promotion, which offers one free kids meal with adult food purchase, will still be taking place at Eadie Levy's Landmark Cafe and the Patio at Cafe Brauer.

The outage won't affect the free carousel and train rides, though the latter is dependent on the weather. Santa will be at the Helen Branch Primate House. The wagon ride and the members lounge, however, will both be closed Monday evening.
