CHICAGO — Three men died and another five men were wounded in citywide shootings between Thursday morning and Friday morning, police said.

A tow truck driver was gunned down while driving in Park Manor Thursday morning, police said. Two men were shot to death in Auburn Gresham within an hour of each other Thursday afternoon, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Also Thursday afternoon, two men were hurt in separate shootings in Englewood, Sedevic said.

• Most recently, two men were in a bar in the 9600 block of South Commercial Avenue in South Deering when a man walked in and shot them, Sedevic said.

One man, 51, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds in his right arm and lower back, Sedevic said.

Another man, 47, was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for a graze wound in his abdomen, Sedevic said.

• Around 6:20 a.m. Thursday morning, a man was shot during a robbery in Roseland, Sedevic said.

The man was walking in the 10100 block of South Indiana Avenue when two men drove up in a dark-colored sedan, Sedevic said. One of the men pulled out a gun and announced a robbery, Sedevic said, and the other man rummaged through the victim's pockets and grabbed his phone and wallet.

When the man tried to run away, one of the robbers shot him in his ankle, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Roseland Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.
