LINCOLN PARK — Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? We've got some ideas — and all of them are local causes.

Lincoln Park Community Shelter: The shelter, 600 W. Fullerton Parkway, has been helping homeless men and women for 30 years with the help of more than 1,500 volunteers. Donate by visiting the shelter's website.

PAWS Chicago: Animal lovers may want to consider giving money to the PAWS Lincoln Park adoption center, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. Donations will go toward everything from veterinary care to transporting pets, and can be made online in any dollar amount.

The 530 Fullerton Foundation: Give back to underserved Chicagoans by donating to The 503 Fullerton Foundation, 530 Fullerton Parkway. The foundation says it provides access to food and overall wellness to those in need. Donations can be made online.

Art on Sedgwick: A new nonprofit art center, 1429 N. Sedgwick St., could use your support. Art on Sedgwick, which the owner hopes will become a community hub, offers art classes for students. Donations can be made online.

Deborah's Place: Give back to homeless women living in the Patty Crowley Apartments, 1530 N. Sedgwick Ave., and other supportive housing for women throughout the city by donating money to Deborah's Place.
